Why I built my own shop instead of using a marketplace
The straightforward answer is margin. The more honest answer is control.
I use AI for reference, not drawing
Let me be specific about what I actually do, because the word "AI" gets used to describe everything from "I used Photoshop's generative fill once" to "the AI makes the image and I write a prompt." My usage is neither.
Why I still ink on paper
I've been asked a version of this question a lot since I started talking openly about using AI in my workflow: if you're already using AI tools, why not just draw digitally and skip paper entirely?
